Blair boost for Swans Under-21s

27th January

Swansea City have completed the signing of Scottish midfielder Ryan Blair from Falkirk for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
The 19-year-old has penned a three-and-a-half year deal at the Liberty Stadium and will link up with the club's under-21 squad.
Glasgow-born Blair has made 10 appearances for Falkirk's first team since breaking into their squad last season.
A box-to-box midfielder, Blair becomes the fourth Falkirk player to join the development squad in the last 24 months alongside Botti Biabi, Stephen Kingsley and Jay Fulton.
"It feels great. I never thought I would get the opportunity to join a Premier League club," said Blair.
"I was buzzing to get down here - to see all the facilities and be part of it is fantastic. I want to kick on now and get myself some game-time between now and the end of the season.
"I played with Stephen (Kingsley), Jay (Fulton) and Botti (Biabi) at Falkirk. I was good mates with them all, so it is great to be joining them at Swansea.
"The three of them being here will help me settle quicker. They are all good players and I am looking forward to getting back out on the pitch with them.
"The Under-21s are doing well this season, so I know I might have to wait for my chance. But I will work hard and hopefully I can get my first game in the next few weeks to show what I can do.
"For me this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I just can't wait to get started."

Swansea City Under-21s' next fixture is against West Ham in Premier League Division Two at Rush Green on Tuesday, February 9 (7pm).
