Swansea City defender Brandon Cooper has joined Leyton Orient on loan until January, subject to international clearance.

The 23-year-old links up with the newly-promoted O’s in League One, where he will be able to count former Swan Darren Pratley among his new teammates.

After joining Swansea at the age of six, Cooper progressed through the ranks to make his first-team debut against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup in 2018.

He enjoyed loan spells with Yeovil and Newport County, making a big impression during his time at Rodney Parade as he was named EFL young player of the month for October during the 2020-21 season.

Further loan spells at Swindon Town and Forest Green Rovers have followed in recent seasons, while Cooper – a Wales youth international – has made 11 first-team appearances in total for the Swans at senior level.

Everyone at Swansea City wishes Brandon well during his loan spell.
