Brandon Cooper pro deal

18th January

First-year scholar Brandon Cooper has signed a professional deal with Swansea City.
The Bridgend-born centre-back, who turned 17 this month, has been with the club's academy since the age of six and has penned deal until June 2018.
Cooper, who has made 13 appearances for the club's Under-18s side this season, expressed his delight at signing his first pro deal with the Swans.
"I'm really happy," he said. "To sign my first professional deal is the beginning of the dream and I can't wait to start.
"I never could have imagined I would be in this position when I first joined the club over a decade ago. Years of hard work have gone into getting to this point.
"I feel I have progressed a lot this season with the under-18s, now I want to push on and progress to get game-time with the under-23s.
"I am an ambitious character and want to go right to the top. My ultimate aim is to be a starting centre-back with the Swans and I will do everything I can to get there."
