Swansea City to support Play Safe 2026
Swansea City is proud to support Play Safe Weekend 2026, which gets underway on Saturday, October 3, with this year’s campaign encouraging everyone involved in football to Keep Up The Convo.
The campaign is focused on creating more opportunities for conversations with children and young people – not just about football, but about life, emotions and anything that matters to them.
Whether it’s on the pitch, on the sidelines, at training, on the way home or during pick-up and drop-off, a simple conversation can make a real difference.
Players, parents, coaches, volunteers and match officials all have a role to play in helping young people feel comfortable talking and, importantly, knowing that they are being listened to.
The more we talk, listen and respond, the more likely children and young people are to feel heard and share how they are really doing.
This Play Safe Weekend, and beyond, remember to Keep Up The Convo:
Keep it open
Fun and easy topics can help make conversations feel natural and create opportunities to talk.
Keep it active
Ask open questions, then give them the time and space to answer.
Keep it going
Listen, reflect and respond. Show that you are genuinely interested in what they have to say.
Keep Up The Convo
The more you show up for the young people around you, the easier it becomes for them to keep talking when it matters most.
Swansea City is proud to support Play Safe and encourage everyone connected with the club to Keep Up The Convo this weekend and throughout the year.
