Byron Anthony has challenged Swansea City Under-18s to build consistency into their game ahead of facing Millwall at Landore.

The young Swans are aiming for a first win in six as they welcome the Lions for the Professional Development League Clash.

Although, Anthony's side produced an impressive display in Friday's narrow FA Youth Cup defeat by Middlesbrough on Friday.

The Swans enjoyed plenty of possession and positive spells of play, but were unlucky to eventually succumb 1-0 to the Premier League North outfit.

Nevertheless, the under-18s coach wants his players to use their performance levels in the tie as a benchmark for the remainder of the campaign.

"We've spoken about consistency - as individuals and as a team," he said.

"It's been a tough season for the players. Obviously, we've got a smaller group and they've been transferring between the under-18s and under-23s, which has been a challenge.

"My message is for them to continue what they put on show against Middlesbrough and carry that through to the end of the season.

"It's a shorter turnaround for this game, but we'll be looking to do the same. We've got a plan and will be looking to attack Millwall and really take the game to them.

"The signs against Middlesbrough were that the players are more than capable of delivering game plans and the principles of play are set in stone.

"We want to be able to do that on a more consistent basis between now and the end of the season. That's the challenge I've set for them."
