Byron Anthony has urged Swansea City Under-18s to demonstrate their strength of character and embrace the quick turnaround as they head into their final 10 games of a hectic season.

The young Swans travel to Yorkshire on Friday to face Barnsley in Professional Development League South.

The showdown comes just under 72 hours after their thrilling 4-4 draw with Millwall at Landore.

It is the first of 10 games in the space of only 33 days for the under-18s, who are aiming to build on their momentum following a positive attacking display against the young Lions on Tuesday.

And Anthony wants his players to be ready to go again as he challenges them to impart greater levels of consistency within their performances for the remainder of the campaign.

“The players have got to be robust and quickly look after themselves, recover and get ready to go again,” he said.

“That’s how it’s going be from now right through to the end of the season.

“We need to be more consistent – with and without the ball.

“We want to get more consistency throughout the pitch – in both boxes – because that’s where games are won and lost.

“We want to try to find that consistency between now and the end of the season.”
