Swansea City midfielder Cameron Congreve has signed his first professional contract with the club, agreeing terms through to the summer of 2024.

Congreve, 18, has been an impressive performer for the under-18s and under-23s this season, and his new deal includes an option for a further 12-month extension through to the end of June 2025.

The Blaenau Gwent product has been with the Swans since under-nine level, and initially made the step up to under-23 level last term as a scholar.

He has been handed the opportunity to train with the first team on a number of occasions, and he was included in a senior matchday squad for the first time in the recent win over Coventry, before also being named on the bench for the defeat to Fulham.

The playmaker has been among the young talents to impress head coach Russell Martin, and Congreve will hope to continue his development towards an eventual regular place in the first-team squad.
