Carlos Carvalhal has told Swansea City’s fans they have a major part to play when his team take on Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium this weekend.

The Swans have just four games left this season as they scrap for Premier League survival.

Three of those fixtures – against Chelsea, Southampton and Stoke – are on home soil, where the Swans’ form has been impressive since the turn of the year.

And Carvalhal reckons the Jack Army could be a key asset in the final push to avoid relegation – starting when Antonio Conte’s fifth-placed Blues visit on Saturday (5.30pm).

“Since we arrived in Swansea, our home games have been fantastic,” said the Swans manager.

“We have won a lot of important games and taken a lot of important points, and also our performances have been very good quality.

“One thing that is absolutely sure is that our fans have been making a difference, and that’s something we expect them to do again on Saturday.

“On Saturday, let’s push the team and push the players because we need you.”

Since losing to Tottenham in Carvalhal’s first home game in charge, the Swans have taken 13 points from a possible 15 in SA1.
