Bersant Celina says jet-heeled Swansea City winger Daniel James is the quickest team-mate he has ever had.

Celina - who scored a wonderful goal at the weekend himself - was among those left mouth agape after watching James' lung-bursting box-to-box breakaway against Brentford.

It helped set the Swans on their way to a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals, where they will face Celina's former club Manchester City.

James covered the 82 yards between blocking a Neal Maupay shot and firing the ball past Luke Daniels in just 8.7 seconds. The Wales international was travelling at just shy of 22 miles per hour at one point.

Having been part of the Manchester City set-up, Celina had the chance to train and play alongside the likes of Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Jesus Navas, all of whom are known for their explosive speed.

But the Kosovo international reckons James might just top them all, and even compared the Swans man to his international team-mate Gareth Bale.

“I’ve never played with anyone faster. He’s got so much pace and is great with the ball. He can go far and become a world-class player," said Celina.

"He definitely has the right attitude. He works hard every day and is very down-to-earth. If he believes in himself, he can get to the top. have the same ambitions as him.

"Whenever I get the ball, I try to give it to him. I’ve never see anyone make runs like that. His timing is very smart.

"If he can get even better than that, nobody can stop him. It was like watching Gareth Bale running. I wish I could do that!"
