Chris Llewellyn pleased with response from Under-21s

Chris Llewellyn was pleased with the response from Swansea City Under-21s as they bounced back from Friday's defeat at Fleetwood to claim a 4-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers on Monday evening.

Kai Rhodes, Joe Davies and Yorri Griffith (2) were all on target as the Swans produced a dominant first-half display to establish a three-goal lead at the break.

Griffith added his second after the restart, while Rayan Kolli scored twice for QPR, but Swansea's commanding first-half performance ultimately proved decisive as they secured a deserved three points.

"We were really pleased with the performance, there were also opportunities for players who haven't had many minutes over the last few weeks to come in," he said.

"Everyone who played had a decent impact. Changing the team a lot is the nature at this level, we always dictate on what the first team wants and then it also allows us to see strengths of individual players.

"It was frustrating to concede two in the second half. QPR brought on quality in Rayan Kolli, whose got six Championship goals to his name.

"But the boys stuck to their tasks and we responded when they scored, and kept fighting until the end to make sure we get the win."
