Connor Roberts has recovered from a shoulder injury and is back in contention for selection for Saturday’s clash against Derby.

The 24-year-old full-back missed the draw at Preston after picking up the problem in the defeat at Stoke.

But Steve Cooper has confirmed the Wales international has taken a full part in training this week and is available to take on the Rams.

“Connor is back, he is back in full training so he is available for the weekend,” said the Swans head coach.

Huddersfield Mike van der Hoorn

Cooper also revealed defender Mike van der Hoorn is a little over two weeks away from training after a knee injury, while winger Jordon Garrick is again set to feature for the under-23s this weekend after returning from a hamstring injury.

“With Mike it is still ongoing with his rehab. He is a couple of weeks away from being on the grass,” added Cooper.

“That is all going to plan. We have had a bit of clarity of the doc, we are happy with his progress and if we see him before the end of the month – which is likely – that will be a good thing.

“Jordon is back and will feature for the under-23s on the weekend, which was part of his programme to being ready for us.

“He is training with us every day, he just needs his minutes.”

Striker Liam Cullen, who made his league debut last weekend, has been promoted to the first team squad following his excellent goalscoring form which has seen him nominated for January’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
