Swansea City have been boosted ahead of their game against Luton with centre-halves Joe Rodon and Mike van der Hoorn back in full training.

Full-back Kyle Naughton is fully fit after an ankle injury restricted him to bench duty in last week’s win over Middlesbrough.

Wales international Rodon missed the game at the Riverside with a thigh strain, while van der Hoorn has been recovering from a knee injury that has sidelined him since January.

The pair have been able to play a full part in preparations to face the Hatters, although Steve Cooper explained that the Dutchman would not be considered for the weekend as he builds up his fitness.

And, with Ben Wilmot and Ben Cabango having performed admirably on Teesside, head coach Cooper knows he will have a selection headache this weekend.

“Kyle (Naughton) is fully fit now,” said the Swansea boss.

“He was not fit enough to start last week, but he wanted to be on the bench as he wanted to be involved in what we are doing.

“He is in a much better place now and has trained through the week.

“Mike has been in full training this week, which has been a real bonus to get him back on the grass.

“He will not be available to play for a little while because he has been out for so long, and he will need a certain amount of days and weeks of training before he can be considered for minutes.

“But it’s big progress for Mike and it is brilliant having back out with the team.

“Likewise with Joe, he has been training for a few days now and there is some real competition for places.”
