Double fitness boost for Swans

Swansea City have received a double injury boost ahead of Saturday’s crunch trip to Bournemouth.

Federico Fernandez is fit to feature at the Vitality Stadium after shaking off the knee problem which kept him out of last weekend’s loss to Chelsea.

And Luciano Narsingh is also available for the Cherries clash having missed the Swans’ last two matches with an ankle problem, but Kyle Bartley (knee) remains out.

“Fede has recovered,” said boss Carlos Carvalhal.

“He is training with the team with no problems so he is available.

“At this moment we just have Bartley who has not recovered yet and the two long-term injuries, (Leroy) Fer and (Wilfried) Bony.

“Angel Rangel, Leon Britton, Renato Sanches, Fede Fernandez and Luciano Narsingh are all training and available.”

Fernandez’s return is particularly welcome given that Kyle Naughton was forced to fill in as a central defender last week.

Narsingh, meantime, is useful extra option on the right flank.
