Emily Thomas v Wrexham

Swansea City Women’s forward Emily Thomas insists her side's determination and togetherness means they travel with will be crucial with confidence ahead of Sunday's clash with Wrexham at the STōK Racecourse (2pm).

Having beaten Wrexham 3-2 two weeks ago at Llandarcy Academy of Sport, the Swans look to continue their eight-game unbeaten run in the league in another clash against the north Wales outfit.

Thomas has experience of facing off against Wrexham in a big stadium, having made her third appearance for the Swans at the Swansea.com Stadium earlier this season, as she helped the side to a 2-1 win against their rivals in front of 3,859 supporters.

The forward is excited to be facing off against Wrexham at the Racecourse and feels confident that her side can continue their strong league form.

“I’m really looking forward to the game, I think it will be a good weekend for the team and our team spirit,” said Thomas.

“It nice to be playing somewhere different, it’s another achievement for us to tick off to play there, the Swansea.com Stadium was obviously a huge one, but this is another and I can’t wait.

“I think we will take a lot of confidence into Sunday, but we can’t underestimate them, every game is different, and they can come out of the gate differently.

"So we will definitely go in with confidence, but we certainly won’t have our guard down.

“They are a physical side, but we are a very quick side, we get it down on the floor well and play some good football, and I think that is something they struggled with last time.

“We have a very strong squad, we have a lot of really good players here and that really shows, when we are missing key players, we have people who fit right in and continue that good work.

“The schedule we have coming up is very busy, I think we just have to stick together, we have the squad depth to pull each other through it.”
