Ethan Galbraith | I am loving it but I need to keep working to improve
Ethan Galbraith has loved his start to life with Swansea City, but is keen to keep working and improving as he prepares for the weekend visit of Sheffield United.
The midfielder joined the Swans from Leyton Orient over the summer, and has been a bright and lively performer over the very early stages of the campaign.
The Northern Ireland international netted his first goal for the club against Crawley in midweek, calmly controlling an awkward high ball before volleying a strike into the bottom corner with a minimum of fuss.
The former Manchester United player feels he has settled into life in south Wales quickly, but says there is plenty more to come as the Swans get set for the visit of the Blades.
“The lads have been great in helping me settle in, and I am loving my time at Swansea so far,” said Galbraith.
“The staff, the players and everyone around the club has really welcomed me, it’s a real family club and that has definitely helped.
“It was a no-brainer to come here and everything has been very positive so far. Getting the goal was nice, I think Bobby (Wales) was trying to claim the assist which I’m not sure about, but it’s always nice to get off the mark for a new club.
“We had a positive performance and result, but we know we need to keep working to improve, and it’s the same for myself as I get used to playing in a new team.
“We know we have a tough test this weekend against a team who were a game away from the Premier League in May.
"The result we had last weekend and the result they had, both teams will be trying to bounce back.
"It will be a great game and hopefully we can come out on the right side of it."
