Carlos Carvalhal saluted Swansea City’s travelling fans after they turned out in force at West Bromwich Albion.

The Swans were roared on by more than 2,700 members of the Jack Army as they fought back to claim a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns.

And at the end of a scrappy game, Carvalhal made a point of praising the Swans’ supporters – as well as the home crowd.

“Let me first of all tell you that this afternoon, the fans were the best in my opinion,” said the Swans manager.

“Our fans came here in massive numbers and they supported us all the way through the game.

“Also, I must say the West Brom supporters made the stadium almost full and the atmosphere was positive. When they are in a very bad position, that is amazing I think.”
