Five-star Swans beat Llandudno

22nd February

Swans Ladies hit five past Llandudno as they ran out 5-2 winners.
The home side took the lead after 12 minutes when a cross from the right by Jodie Passmore deceived the Llandudno keeper and ended up in the back of the net.
Swansea looked much the better team and extended their lead after 27 minutes when a Sophie Hancock cross was met by Stacey John to head the Swans into a deserved 2-0 lead.
Llandudno halved the deficit after 43 minutes with their first real chance of the game when Katie Bowe converted a free kick from wide on the left.
Swansea made the best possible start to the second half when Katy Hosford smashed the ball home after 46 minutes to restore the two-goal lead.
Both teams battled away in difficult conditions with Sophie Owen of Llandudno scoring after 64 minutes to again reduce the Swans lead to just one goal.
However, the Swans continued to play the better football and were rewarded in the 81st minute when a free kick given for a foul on Hosford was taken by Hancock and put away by Carrie Slack to make it 4-2
The final goal of the match came in the 90th minute when a ball down field was headed on by Emma Beynon to Stacey John who took the ball past the keeper to score her second of the match.
