Four of the best | Birmingham City
As Swansea City make the trip to St Andrews, we take a look back at four memorable meetings with the Blues in years gone by.

Championship | July 8, 2020
Swansea City continued their push for a Championship play-off place with an impressive comeback victory at St Andrew’s.
The visitors found themselves behind inside five minutes when Lukas Jutkiewicz rose highest to head the Blues into an early lead.
However, Steve Cooper’s men responded well, turning the contest around before the interval.
Rhian Brewster first brought the scores level with his eighth goal of the campaign before Ben Cabango fired the Swans ahead with his first senior goal for the club.
Jay Fulton would then added a third shortly after the restart to put the result beyond doubt and lift Swansea to seventh, just one point outside the play-off positions with four matches remaining.
It was a huge win for the Swans who recorded successive league victories for the first time since December and completed their first-ever league double over the Blues.

FA Cup | January 25, 2014
Wilfried Bony proved to be the difference-maker as Swansea City booked their place in the FA Cup fifth round with a comeback win in the Midlands.
Having knocked Manchester United out at Old Trafford in the previous round, Michael Laudrup’s side travelled to B9 looking to continue their cup adventure.
They were given a scare early on when Lee Novak headed the Championship hosts in front, leaving the Premier League visitors with work to do.
Laudrup turned to Bony at the interval, and the striker made an immediate impact.
He powered home Roland Lamah’s delivery in the 67th minute to restore parity before producing a clever finish just two minutes later, lifting the ball over Colin Doyle to complete the turnaround.

Championship | December 28, 2008
A frustrating afternoon in front of goal saw Swansea City leave St Andrew’s with a share of the spoils, but the result carried a notable place in Football League history.
Roberto Martinez’s side were enjoying their first campaign in the Championship after winning the League One title the previous season, and produced a dominant display against Alex McLeish’s Birmingham.
The hosts were reduced to 10 men midway through the second half when David Murphy received his second yellow card, giving the Swans an opportunity to make their pressure count.
However, neither Jason Scotland or Febian Brandy could find a breakthrough after some good chances, leaving Swansea to settle for a goalless draw.
It was the eighth consecutive draw for Martinez’s men, matching a Football League record for successive stalemates. That sequence, however, would end just a week later when the Swans triumphed 2-0 at Burnley.
Birmingham City 0-1 Swansea City
Division Two | March 11, 1995
Swansea City produced a disciplined display to take all three points back to south Wales, despite being reduced to 10 men for the majority of the contest.
Frank Burrows’ side arrived in the Midlands with good momentum behind them, having won their previous five matches, while the hosts had gone seven months without suffering defeat on home soil.
The Swans also had history to contend with, having not won away at Birmingham for more than 40 years.
But John Hodge’s first-half penalty proved enough to settle the contest, giving the visitors a precious lead before Mark Clode’s dismissal at the interval left them with a second-half battle to protect it.
They held firm to make it six consecutive victories and continue an excellent run of form.
Birmingham would ultimately go on to claim the Division Two title that season, while Swansea finished in mid-table, but the trip to St Andrew’s remained a memorable success for Burrows’ side.
