George Byers wants Swansea City to start emulating their excellent away form on home soil, starting with this weekend’s clash with Millwall.

The point picked up at Sheffield Wednesday means the Swans are now unbeaten in 10 away leagues games, their longest such sequence in 12 years.

Their home form for much of 2019 had also been impressive. It took until September for a Championship side to beat them on home turf.

But the derby win over Cardiff was the first in five games at the Liberty, and midfielder Byers wants to see that improve as the hectic festive schedule fast approaches.

“Our away form has been brilliant with us not losing all season. It’s great to have that intact and it’s something we need to build on,” he said.

“We now need to take that form into our home games. We’ve got to build on the good performances that we are putting in and turn them into positive results.

“We want to build some momentum at home and, if we can do that, we’ll be right up there.”
