Guidolin confident of Paloschi deal

28th January

Francesco Guidolin revealed Swansea City are confident of making Alberto Paloschi their first senior signing of the January transfer window.
The Swans Head Coach was speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of next week's clash with West Brom, with Guidloin confirming the club have agreed a fee and personal terms with the Chievo striker.
Guidolin is hopeful that the deal will be completed in the next 48 hours after the player's medical.

"Alberto is a very good player," he said. "He is strong and would be an important player for us and someone who can score goals and help the team get results.
"I worked with him when we were together at Parma - he was a promising young player then.
"We are linked with many names but I'm hoping, if it's possible, to bring in another midfielder as well."

Guidolin enjoyed a winning start to life in the Premier League last weekend as the Swans recorded a history victory against Everton.
It was the first time the club had beaten the Toffees in the league, with the win moving Swansea four points clear of the relegation zone.
And with the club out of the FA Cup, attention now turns to Tuesday's trip to West Brom at the Hawthorns (7.45pm).
"I'm very happy at the moment because after two wins the table looks better," said Guidolin.
"But now we have another difficult match against a good team and if we can win it will be very important.
"In Italy I had many years experience but this is a good challenge for me. It's an important challenge because its the best league in the world."
