Guidolin relishing Liverpool "challenge"

28th April

Francesco Guidolin says he and his players are relishing the "challenge" of facing Liverpool on Sunday (12pm).
The Swans welcome Jürgen Klopp's side to the Liberty Stadium as they look to bounce back from consecutive league defeats.
Last weekend's 4-0 defeat against Leicester was Swansea's heaviest reverse this season, while a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle a week previously meant it was a fortnight to forget for Guidolin and his players.
However, they will be hoping for a repeat performance from the last time they were on home soil in a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at the Liberty on April 9.
"It is an important game for us and for Liverpool," said Guidolin. "They (Liverpool) are a great club and an important team in Europe.
"But they will be focused on every game, whether it is in the Europa League or in the Premier League.
"They have a good manager and lots of good players, so it is an important challenge for both myself and my team.
"Our opponents during this period have important targets and lots to play for and therefore it isn't easy for us - but we are focused on Sunday's game."
The Swans will be mathematically assured of safety if they can secure all three points against Liverpool, and Guidolin has stressed the importance of positive results in the final three games of the campaign.
"We still need points," he said. "We are working hard in training because the second half against Leicester was not so good, and against Newcastle I was disappointed because our reaction wasn't good after the win over Chelsea."
