Steve Cooper says Swansea City are ready to embrace the challenge of restarting their Championship challenge with a run of three games in just six days.

The Swans return to second-tier action following the international break on Saturday, playing host to Millwall at the Liberty Stadium.

They then head to Huddersfield on Tuesday night to take on a resurgent Terriers side, before welcoming Fulham under the SA1 lights on the Friday night.

Head coach Cooper acknowledges a busy schedule with so many points up for grabs in such a short space of time is not easy to manage.

But he insists the Swans will be prepared for the arduous demands.

“We are looking forward to getting going again because we have got a big week coming up in terms of schedule,” he said.

“You can be on the wrong end of scheduling at times. I don’t think it’s unfair in terms of scheduling but it is swings and roundabouts and next week is a busy one for us, that’s for sure.

“We have a home game Saturday, but then to go to Huddersfield on Tuesday and then play Friday is a quick turnaround.

“We are not going to moan or cry about it, but we know we are going to have to prepare wisely for the week.

“We are looking forward to the challenge, I don’t think we will be using just 11 players so we have to think through things carefully.

“It’s quite tough, but we plan at least a month ahead and we will stick to that.”
