'Home form turnaround is pleasing'

Graham Potter has been pleased by the turnaround in Swansea City’s home form as they extended their fine recent Liberty record with victory over Brentford.

The Swans have now lost just one of their last nine in all competitions in SA1 – with that sole defeat coming against Premier League champions Manchester City – winning six of those fixtures.

Swansea won just four of their first 11 home fixtures of the season, but have turned that around since losing to Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

And Potter was pleased to see that trend continue moving in the right direction thanks to goals from Nathan Dyer (2) and Daniel James.

“It has turned around a bit,” said Potter.

“Earlier in the season we had a period where our home form was a bit up and down and we were not quite as good, and we were picking up points away from home. Now it has turned around.

“We have played some tough teams away so it is not so easy to just play how we want to play, master the environment and master the challenge that is the Championship.

“But it is part of what we are trying to do and the process we are going through. It helps when you score, and that is what we did here.”
