Swansea City defender Ryan Manning has been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for their fixture against Azerbaijan and Qatar.

Manning has enjoyed an impressive start to the new season, including featuring in an unfamiliar centre-back role under Russell Martin.

He will link up with the Ireland squad as they get set to travel to Baku for their World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan on Saturday, October 9, before returning to Dublin for a friendly against Qatar on Tuesday, October 12.

Defender Harry Jones, meanwhile, has been included in the Wales Under-19 squad for their trio of fixtures against their counterparts from Georgia, Norway and Kosovo.

Tyler Evans, Kian Jenkins, Joel Cotterill and Cameron Congreve will take part in a Wales Under-17 squad training camp during the international break.

Earlier this week, Brandon Cooper and Dan Williams were included in Paul Bodin's Wales Under-21 squad, with Lewis Webb also called up.
