Four Swansea City academy players have been called up to Wales' Under-17 squad ahead of their friendlies against Israel this month.

Kit Margetson, Iwan Morgan, Jacob Cook and Sam Parker have all been named in Craig Knight's squad for a friendly double-header against Israel in Shefayim in February.

After a win over Croatia and two draws against Sweden and Albania in their UEFA Euro Under-17 Championship qualifying round campaign, the young Welsh side earned a place in the elite round of the competition, Swansea duo Ewan Griffiths and Jacob Cook helped secure qualification.

They were placed in Group 2 and will face Montenegro, Scotland and Iceland, with Wales hosting the mini-tournament during the March international window.

Aimar Govea

Meanwhile, Swansea City Under-18s' midfielder Aimar Govea was called up to Ecuador Under-17s for a 10 day training camp in south America.

The 16-year-old has previously represented Spain after being named in Julen Guerrero's 26-man squad  for a four-day preparation camp in Alfaz del Pí back in December.

Govea - who has already represented Ecuador at international youth level - making his debut against Argentina Under-17s back in October, was born in Spain.
