Four Swansea City academy players were selected in the Wales Under-19 side as they played out a goalless draw against Hungary in the first of their three Uefa European Championship qualifiers.

The young Dragons included Ben Lloyd, Kai Ludvigsen, Joel Cotterill and Cameron Congreve in their starting line-up for the game at Rhyl’s Belle Vue ground.

Lloyd and Congreve nearly combined to break the deadlock with the former firing over the latter’s pass on the 70-minute mark.

Wales will next face the Republic of Ireland in Bangor on Saturday, September 24, before taking on Gibraltar in Wrexham on Tuesday, September 27.

At senior level, Ben Cabango was an unused substitute for Wales’ Nations League defeat against Belgium, with Rob Page’s side due to host Poland in their final fixture before the World Cup on Sunday.

Olivier Ntcham was in action on Friday morning UK time as he featured for Cameroon in their 2-0 friendly defeat against Uzbekistan.
