Swansea City partner Jac Lewis Foundation are hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday August 28 to raise money and awareness for the mental health charity.

The charity – which is supported by Swansea City’s front-of-home shirt and north and south stand sponsor Westacres – will hold an all-day event at Ammanford Cricket Club (SA18 3AN).

It will begin at 10.30am with funfair rides, penalty shoot-outs, face painting, arts and crafts as well as plenty of catering options before a BBQ at the clubhouse begins at midday.

The charity cricket match will begin at 2pm and live music will start at 7pm. Cyril and Cybil will be in attendance.

Entry is free and money raised at the event will go towards mental health and well-being provisions supplied by the Jac Lewis Foundation. The charity was created in memory of Jac who sadly took his own life several years ago, as the community grieved the passing of a much loved individual, they decided to put things in place which would help people who are struggling access the support they need and prevent – as far as possible – another death through suicide.

Swansea City chief executive Julian Winter said:  “We are proud supporters of the incredible work the Jac Lewis Foundation carry out. We know how much support their projects have given people who need it the most, and we’re delighted to host a mental health hub every Friday at the Swansea.com Stadium.

“Sunday’s event will be a fantastic occasion, while also raising money and awareness for a very deserving cause, and we are very proud to support.”
