James signs new Swans deal

28th November

Daniel James has extended his stay with Swansea City by signing a new contract.

The two-year extension will see the 20-year-old remain at the Liberty Stadium until at least June 2020.

James, who joined from Hull City’s academy in July 2014, has made four appearances for the under-23s so far this season.

The winger represented Wales Under-20s at this summer’s Toulon Tournament in France with the forward on target from the penalty spot during the 1-0 win over Bahrain.

An abdominal injury has limited James’ chances this campaign, but the frontman netted two goals against Celtic during the under-23s' 6-0 Premier League International Cup victory in September.
