Russell Martin expects a few players to have overcome illness and be available for Swansea City’s game at Luton, and revealed Jamie Paterson will be in his squad at Kenilworth Road.

Goalkeeper Steven Benda is the only injury absentee as he continues his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury.

Head coach Martin revealed some players had been unwell during the week, but is confident they will be fine to take on the Hatters at Kenilworth Road.

Midfielder Paterson, meanwhile, could be in line for a first appearance since the defeat at Reading in December.

“Everyone is fit and fitting, we have had a couple of people not feeling well early in the week, but they will hopefully all be over it.

“We should be fully stocked up other than Steven.

“Jamie Paterson will be in the squad, we have had some good conversations, he has trained really well and his energy has been brilliant.

“I think as a group we can do with him, as players and a staff. He’s back in the squad so it’s up to him to get out on the pitch.”
