Jamie Sherwood departs as first-team manager of Swansea City Women

Swansea City Women can confirm Jamie Sherwood has left his position as first-team manager by mutual consent.
Sherwood took over the role in May 2024, having previously held coaching positions with Yeovil Town Women, Cardiff City Ladies and Bridgwater United Women.
He departs with Swansea City Women currently sitting fifth in the Genero Adran Premier table with four games remaining.
The club would like to place on record its thanks to Jamie for his efforts while in charge.
Assistant manager Yzzy Taylor will assume the role of caretaker head coach on an interim basis.
Taylor joined the Swans this summer, having spent 11 years with Genero Adran Premier side Cardiff Met Women as a player and coach. In total, she helped the Archers to six league titles, three Welsh Cups and three Adran Trophy triumphs, as well as being named manager of the season for the 2021-22 season after Met finished as runners-up in the top-flight.
The 31-year-old is also a part of the Wales Women Under-19s’ coaching team, a role she will continue alongside her duties with the Swans.
