Jimmy Rimmer: Lukasz has been just Fab for Swans

30th October

Former England keeper Jimmy Rimmer believes the Swans have one of the safest pair of hands in the Premier League in Lukasz Fabianski.
Fabianski lines up against his former club Arsenal on Saturday having been part of the Swans side that did the double over the Gunners last season.
It was a campaign which proved the most successful of his career to date, with the Polish stopper ending his first season at the Liberty by keeping 13 clean sheets in the league.
It led to him winning three accolades at the club's end-of-season awards night as the Swans recorded a highest-points tally and finish in the Premier League.
And Rimmer, who also represented the Gunners along with spending two spells with the Swans, feels the 30-year-old is continuing his good work this campaign.

"Fabianski, for me, was only bettered by Thibaut Courtois last season," said Rimmer, who is a regular at the Liberty.
"It's a little different playing for Arsenal with the expectations they have there, but he has lots of pressure to deal with at Swansea. People don't realise that.
"Arsenal will have seen how he has performed at Swansea and accept they made a mistake in leaving him go.
"That would have really sunk in with the way he performed in the 1-0 win at the Emirates last season. He was outstanding that day.
"But Swansea have given him exactly what every goalkeeper needs - confidence."

He added: "At Arsenal he didn't really get a good run of games, and if you had a bad game then you were on the bench.
"At Swansea, he knows he has the belief of the manager and if he has a bad game here and there then he will get the chance to rectify it.
"They have given him the platform to show his talent, and Fabianski has repaid them for that with his performances both last season and this season too."
