Joe Davies signs for Swansea City Under-21s

Swansea City has completed the signing of winger Joe Davies, who will link up with the club’s Under-21s, subject to the relevant approval.

The 19-year-old, previously with Peterborough United, joins on a one-year deal through to June 2027 with an option for an additional 12 months.

Davies, who hails from Milton Keynes, spent three months of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Northern Premier League Division One outfit AFC Rushden and Diamonds, where he made 12 appearances and scored one goal.

In May 2025, he scored the winning goal in the Professional Development League Cup final for Peterborough United Under-18s against Sheffield United, before signing his first professional contract with The Posh a month later.

Swansea City head of academy recruitment Paul Robinson said: "A dynamic winger, Joe is at his best when taking on defenders in one-v-one situations.

"Comfortable operating across the front line, Joe possesses the technical quality to create opportunities for teammates while also contributing goals himself. 

"His willingness to attack space, carry the ball at speed and make positive forward runs aligns well with Swansea City's attacking philosophy.

"I believe Joe's pace, attacking intent and ability to influence games in the final third make him an exciting addition to the squad. His pace adds another dimension to our forward options and provides strong potential for continued development within the club's environment."
