Steve Cooper says Joe Rodon is likely to be back in contention for Swansea City’s meeting with Huddersfield after the defender missed the draw at Hull.

The Wales international recently returned from a three-month injury absence, and was not risked at the KCOM Stadium for what was the third game in just six days for the Swans.

Head coach Cooper also revealed the defender had a couple of minor niggles, but looks set to be in the frame for the visit of the Terriers to the Liberty Stadium next weekend.

“Joe was not fit. He has played a lot of football of late, after being out for three months,” said Cooper.

“We knew it would be a tough ask for him to do three games in six days, for his legs.

“He also picked up a couple of niggles, and unfortunately – even though he was only going to be out for a few days more – this came too soon.”
