Joe Rodon is “touch and go” for Swansea City’s Championship clash with Brentford on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old centre-back was forced off in the weekend draw at Barnsley after aggravating a knock to his ankle.

Head coach Steve Cooper had been hopeful of having the Wales international fit to face the Bees, but has yet to make a final decision on his availability.

Ben Wilmot and Ben Cabango will come into contention for a starting role should Rodon miss out.

“Joe obviously came off on Saturday with an aggravated knock, and it is still a bit inconclusive in terms of tomorrow,” said Cooper.

“I guess touch and go is what it is, so hopefully he will be fine. That is not guaranteed but we are working around the clock to see how he is.”

“If is available for selection, then great. If he is not, we have good cover with Ben Wilmot and Ben Cabango.

“We have players ready to play if we need them.”

Aldo Kalulu is the only definite absentee, as the winger reaches the final stage of his recovery from an ankle problem.

“Every time we speak he is getting closer to training, and we hope he is out training in the next week or so,” added Cooper.
