Millwall Joel Latibeaudiere injury

Russell Martin expects Joel Latibeaudiere to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines after the defender dislocated his shoulder against Millwall.

Latibeaudiere had to be stretchered off after being barged in a challenge for a loose ball with Murray Wallace. He stayed down after landing awkwardly as he fell, and required lengthy treatment.

And head coach Martin says the injury looks likely to keep the former Manchester City man out for some time.

“I am devastated for him, it looks a really bad one. He has dislocated his shoulder,” said the Swans boss.

“He has done brilliantly and gives us so much in so many positions. He has great willingness to run and be aggressive.

“His mentality and desire means he is so appreciated by us and the players.

“We will miss him for sure, we will wait and see but we think it will be a long-term one. We will see what the diagnosis is, but it is a blow.”
