Joel Latibeaudiere says he is ready to play his part when called upon during Swansea City’s Championship run-in.

The midweek draw at Blackburn left the Swans level on points with the automatic promotion places, but with a game in hand on second-placed Watford.

Latibeaudiere played the second half at Ewood Park after Marc Guehi came off at half-time having felt an issue with his groin.

The former Manchester City man helped Steve Cooper’s side emerge with a hard-earned point that could prove very important with the final analysis.

There are now a dozen games to go, starting with Saturday’s trip to face Luton, and Latibeaudiere will be ready to try and help Swansea achieve something special.

“Personally, I want to get some more games and minutes under my belt,” he said,

“I’m learning every week and I feel like I am contributing well in training and giving a good account of myself in the games.

“We’ve got a strong defence here, so it’s difficult to break into the team, but that’s a challenge I like and hopefully I can do enough to make more starts before the end of the season.

“Like I say, I understand it’s going to be difficult to break into the team and play every game.

“So, I know I’d have to be patient, and I have faith in the gaffer. I just want to help the team anyway I can.”
