Joel Latibeaudiere says he and his Swansea City team-mates are loving a new style of play under Russell Martin, but knows they need to start turning their dominance in games into victories.

The defender has been one of a number of players also adjusting to a new position during head coach Martin’s first two months at the helm.

He has featured at centre-half and at wing-back, scoring in the Carabao Cup win over Reading in August.

The Swans have had the highest share of possession of any side in the division, while also keeping a Championship-best six clean sheets.

And the former Manchester City man has enjoyed the challenge of showing a different side to his game, but knows there is more work to be done.

“We are definitely pleased with the way we are playing,” he said.

“Since the head coach and his staff came in about eight weeks ago, we’ve taken on a new style– a brave way of playing.

“It’s totally different to before, and we must give credit to the lads for taking it on so quickly.

“We just need to be patient. The stats are there – we have the most clean sheets in the league and the most possession.

“Now we need the cherry on top, which is goals. It’s coming though.

“I must give credit to the gaffer and his staff for the way we’re playing, because we really enjoy it.”
