Swans Foundation Disability Event

Swansea City AFC Foundation celebrated their Premier League Kicks pan-disability sessions with an event at the Swansea.com Stadium, with first-team players Joel Piroe and Liam Walsh joining the event.

The weekly pan-disability football sessions are funded by the Premier League Community Fund, and sport for development charity Street Games; providing children with disabilities the chance to take part in regular football.

The event saw participants from the session come to the Swansea.com Stadium for a tour, as well as having the opportunity to meet Piroe and Walsh, as well as asking the players some questions.

Walsh was glad to meet so many of the participants, and was delighted to hear the positive experiences they have had at the sessions.

“I think it’s brilliant, every kid who loves football should have the chance to play,” said Walsh.

“It’s great to see everyone come down and for us to be involved in the event, you can see how much they all love their football, they are all talking about it with a smile on their face, so it’s good that they are a part of it.

“We don’t really realise how much of a hero we can be for these kids, it’s great for us to come down to see how much they support us and spend a little bit of time with them and make them happy.”
