Striker Joel Piroe has urged Swansea City to stick together and fight their way out of a difficult moment following their draw with Rotherham.

The Dutchman registered his 13th goal of the season against the Millers, firing into the bottom corner after controlling Ryan Manning’s pass.

However, the Swans would be pegged back by Chiedozie Ogbene’s close-range finish and had to settle for a point.

It continued a tough run following the conclusion of the January transfer window, and Piroe knows real character will be required to turn things around.

“We did not really take control of the game and we were not good enough in possession,” he said.

“We made it hard for ourselves and for sure it is disappointing, but we have to move forward.

“To do that we have to stick together and need to fight our way out of it.

“We have Luton next, our fans have bought all the tickets which is amazing and I am sure the atmosphere will be great.

“We want to go there and play with confidence and show some of the character we did last season when we fought back for a draw."
