Joel Piroe's solo effort wins February goal of the month

Joel Piroe’s stunning solo effort against Bristol City has been voted as Swansea City’s Westacres goal of the month for February.

The Dutch forward has been in fine form all season, and he added another goal to his tally as he received the ball 30 yards from goal, turned away from Alex Scott, nutmegged Zak Vyner and struck beautifully into the bottom corner with his left foot.

Piroe’s effort narrowly won our fan vote ahead of Cyrus Christie’s goal away at West Bromwich Albion – the Fulham loanee finished off an excellent passing move by the Swans late on, hammering past ‘keeper Sam Johnstone.
