Josh Key has credited his Swansea City team-mates for helping him quickly settle into life in SA1.

The wing-back, who put pen to paper on a three-year deal last week, played a planned 45 minutes in a pre-season friendly against Swindon Town at Fairwood, which followed on from 30 minutes against Brondby IF three days earlier.

Key set up Nathan Wood for the opening goal of the game against the Robins, with second-half goals from Joel Piroe, Liam Cullen and Josh Thomas (2) sealing a 5-0 victory.

“It’s good to be out there getting my minutes in,” he said.

“It was a bit of a delayed pre-season for me, so they’re easing me in but I really enjoyed it today and hopefully I’ll get some more minutes.

“Woody was playing next to me, so it was nice to get an assist for him, but if I can contribute like that at any point in the season then that’s something I’ll try to do.

“I’m settling in really well. The lads are a really good group and they’ve been really good with me.

“They’ve made it really easy to settle in and they’re a good group of players. I’ve found it a lot easier than I expected, so credit to them for helping me.

“There’s an exciting season ahead, so as long as I can stay consistent in my mindset then hopefully I can be fit for the start of the season.”
