Kees de Boer hopes Swansea City Under-23s can build on last week’s victory over Norwich when they travel to Aston Villa this evening, and embark on another strong run of form (7pm).

Please note that the game will not be available to view via SwansTV Live.

The young Swans head to Bodymoor Heath in Premier League 2 Division Two for what will be their final match of 2019.

They will be looking to make it back-to-back wins following their dramatic 2-1 victory over Norwich last week, thanks to De Boer’s stoppage-time free-kick.

The result saw the development side end a run of six games without a win in all competitions. That came after they had embarked on a four-match winning run that brought victories over Sunderland, Porto, Newcastle and Charlton.

And De Boer is hopeful that last week’s win will pave the way for another string of positive results.

“We’ve been a little bit unfortunate over the past few games,” the Dutchman said.

“We played some good football in moments but didn’t get the results.

“We needed a win and we were delighted to get it against Norwich.

“Hopefully, it’s the start of another good run. We want to win more games and start climbing up the table.

“I hope we can build on last week by getting another win before Christmas.

“When we all play well together, we know we can beat teams, so we must keep trying to do that.”
