Kyle Naughton wins August Goal of the Month

Kyle Naughton's strike from distance against Birmingham has been voted Swansea City's Goal of the Month for August.

The defender got the crucial opener against the Blues, retrieving a loose ball before dispatching an unerring right-footed strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

It was Naughton's first goal for the Swans in nearly a year, having last netted in similar fashion at Millwall in September 2018, and the Jack Army clearly loved the strike as it secured 60 per cent of the public vote.

Borja Baston's header against Preston, Bersant Celina's finish against QPR and Sam Surridge's close-range finish from the same game were the other contenders.

All those who voted went into a draw to win a Swans jersey signed by Kyle, and Dale Bowen is the winner.
