Ladies earn victory over Cardiff

22nd September

Swansea City Ladies returned to winning ways last weekend with a 2-1 win over Cardiff City at Leckwith.
Danielle Broadhurst put the home side in front early on but Stacey John's first league goal for the club had the Swans level at the break.
The visitors battled well in the second half and after coming on as substitute, Jodie Passmore was brought down in the box and she stepped up to convert from 12 yards with ten minutes to go.
Midfielder Chloe Lloyd said: "It was a great win for us after the defeat at the start of the season, we came back fighting and deserved the victory.
"We battled well and played some great football which lead to goal scoring opportunities, and we are very pleased with the girls' effort."
