Ladies secure place in League Cup semi-final

8th December

Swansea City Ladies reached the last four of the Welsh Premier League Cup following a 3-1 victory over Cardiff City.
Cardiff took the lead midway through the first half, but the Swans hit back five minutes after half time when Alicia Powe played in Rachel Rowe who finished well.
Jodie Passmore put the visitors ahead with seven minutes remaining, and she then grabbed her second late as Emily Hancock's long ball upfield was slotted into the bottom corner.
"We came out second half all guns blazing and scored an equaliser early on and kept pressing and got the vital second goal that we deserved," said Passmore.
"We then kept momentum and pushed on for the third goal to seal a place in the semi-final.
"We worked hard as a team and got what we deserved for all the hard work we put in."
Swansea City Ladies will now face Cardiff Metropolitan at home in the semi-final which will be played on January 25.
