First-team goalkeepers Lawrence Vigouroux and Jon McLaughlin recently surprised budding academy goalkeepers for a workshop at Fairwood Training Ground.

Vigouroux, who kept 14 clean sheets over the 2024-25 season - only the keepers for the top three teams in the Championship (Michael Cooper, Illan Meslier and James Trafford) had more -  and Scottish stopper McLaughlin joined academy coaches Paul Wavell and Paul Whitfield at the event.

Wavell and Whitfield made a presentation to the young Swans before they asked questions to the Swans' senior goalkeeping duo.

Head of academy goalkeeping Wavell and under-18s' goalkeeping coach Whitfield, said: "It was great to have our first-team goalkeepers come down to be a part of the night to talk all things goalkeeping to our young academy goalkeepers.

"It shows the alignment and feeling there is throughout the club from Academy to first team, and especially amongst the goalkeepers.

"We have added these type of nights into our goalkeeping programme over the last three years, and they have become a real highlight of how we work, getting all the goalkeepers together across the club to come together to share and learn off each other”
