Leroy suffers injury setback

Swansea City captain Leroy Fer has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury, manager Graham Potter has revealed.

The Dutch midfielder has not featured for the Swans since picking up the problem in the early stages of the 3-3 draw with Birmingham at the end of January.

He had been due to return to training this week, but he has been ruled out of this weekend's clash with Bolton and is facing at least another couple of weeks on the sidelines.

"We are pretty much as we were against Sheffield Wednesday in terms of the squad, there is nothing new. Leroy was getting close but has had a bit of a setback," said Potter.

"So, it is slightly disappointing for us there. It is not too serious but it puts him out for the weekend, definitely.

"It's probably another couple of weeks before we get a picture in terms of him joining the group.

"It is unfortunate, it is one of those things. He was making good progress but these things happen.

"We just have to build him back up and in a couple of weeks we will get him closer to the group."

Longer-term absentees Joe Rodon and Martin Olsson are the only other players who will be missing for the Liberty Stadium clash with the Trotters.
