Lewis nominated for PL2 player of the month

Swansea City defender Joe Lewis has been nominated for September’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
The 19-year-old Neath-born centre-back, who has progressed through Swansea’s academy system since joining at the age of six, featured four times for the under-23s in PL2 in September and helped an under-21 side defeat League One AFC Wimbledon in the Checkatrade Trophy last month.
The other nominees for September’s award are Manchester City’s Rabbi Matondo, Tottenham’s Oliver Skipp, Newcastle’s Callum Roberts and Derby’s Louie Sibley.
The winner will be announced next Friday, October 12.
