Swansea City’s dedicated Maggie’s Matchday on February 3 raised more than £9,000 for Maggie’s Swansea via on-the-day fundraising and a subsequent match shirt auction.

The Jack Army generously donated more than £1,300 in cash donations to Maggie’s volunteers via a bucket collection at the stadium, while the match-worn and match-issued Maggie’s home shirt auction raised a further £7,680.

All of the money raised will go towards helping the cancer support charity fund their invaluable services for another year.

"We are delighted with the amount raised for Maggie’s Swansea from the recent match shirt online auction," said Maggie’s Swansea fundraising manager Lucia Osmond.

"This money will go a long way to help support people living with cancer in the local community that come to Maggie’s.

"A huge thank you, not only to the club who have been incredibly supportive of Maggie’s this season, but also to all Swansea City fans who helped make this donation to Maggie’s possible.”

Thank you to all members of the Jack Army who donated and supported the matchday.
