Magic Michu's Spanish success

14th October

Michu has reflected on his international debut for Spain as they took a big step towards qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Swans star was handed a starting role by Vincent del Bosque as the world champions beat Belarus 2-1 in Mallorca.
Michu featured for 57 minutes as Spain moved to within a point of guaranteeing their place in next year's tournament.
They will get that opportunity on Tuesday when they face Georgia in Albacete.
And Michu was grateful to del Bosque as he fulfilled his dream of playing for his country,
"I'm very happy and very grateful. I'm thankful to the manager for his confidence, because he's put me in the starting eleven.
"I'm eternally grateful. The squad has taken me in and made things very easy.
"It's always difficult against opponents like this, who look to close up tightly. There were few spaces and few chances at goal.
"We had all the possession and dominated, but it was difficult.
"When you can open things up, it makes things a little easier. In the second half we scored two goals, secured the game and got the three points."
Michu's focus now moves to Tuesday's home clash with Georgia as the world champions look to confirm their place in Brazil.
He added: "Thinking about Brazil is still a long way away. We have to certify our qualification in Albacete, keep working and if more opportunities come for me, then for sure, I'll try to take advantage of them."
